The lavender garden is a social enterprise venture. We turned a grim vacant lot into a thriving garden that has provided jobs to many in this community. The garden began in 2018, and we had our first harvest in 2019!

What we’ve accomplished:

We partnered with Employment Connections and received a grant to double the size of the garden in 2019.

We were able to hire 5 residents of College Hill to maintain the garden.  Employment Connections took each employee through a class on employment.  These employees then, received hands on experience on growing, nurturing, and harvesting the lavender. 

These employees will continue to work the lavender garden as it grows more and more each year.

We recently harvested 600 bundles with the addition of 700 new plants. Our goal is to harvest more in the fall.

Thanks to Bank of America for the grant allowing us to plant 1000 more lavender plants to the “Seeds of Grace Lavender Farm”
